Yvonne Van der Horst is the managing director of McNeil Surgical NT, a Darwin medical
wholesale business.
She is the Winner of the Hudson Private and Corporate Sector Award [NT] in the 2008
Telstra Business Woman of the Year award announced at SkyCity on October 24.
Yvonne cites her self-belief, tenacity and a passion for getting the job done as crucial
traits, but she credits her staff for a large proportion of the businesses success, along
with Customer loyalty.
Customer service has been an integral part of the company’s growth and success in the
past four years. "I am very passionate about customer contact, the way I treat people --
it comes first and foremost."
